Usage Instructions
Connecting to the Spellchecker Server
To allow you to use the online spellchecker, the demonstrator must have succeeded in connecting to the spellchecker server. If you see the green message:
I am connected to the spellchecker server.
everything is fine, you may use the spellchecker. However, should you see the orange message:
Unable to connect to the spellchecker server.
you´ve got a problem. You cannot use the spellchecker. The reason may be : Our spellchecker server is not running. This may happen as we are still working on it (do not forget that this is an ongoing project). Try it again later.
Spellchecking a Word
Type a word you want to have spellchecked in the upper text field and type the "Carriage Return" key on your keyboard or push the "Check" button with your mouse. If you see the green message:
Spelling correct.
the word is correctly spelled. However, should you see the orange message:
Word misspelled, consider the following alternatives.
you have misspelled the word. In this case, the demonstrator offers you a series of alternatives in the lower text area. Do not forget that our dictionary is still limited (±40.000 words).
